Project 52 Week 16 “Technology”

What a tough theme! Technology is virtually everything! Every job, hobby or interest has it’s own language, tools, education and development. So, after racking my brain, I finally came up with my idea for technology.

I titled it, “The Evolution of Home Defense”…..;)

Next week’s theme is “In the Kitchen” I think I can have fun with this one!:)

Project 52 Week 15

This week’s theme was “Easter/Fire”.

I know this is kind of a cliche image, but it speaks to me of incredible love.  Jesus Christ enduring not only the anguish of the cross, but even worse–the unimaginable horror of the full wrath of God on behalf of my great rebellion. Thank you is not enough. I pray my life reflects my humble appreciation of His great sacrifice…..

A blessed Resurrection Day to those who know His great love!

Next week’s theme is “Technology” O.o

Project 52 Week 14

“Night” was the theme this week….

I titled this one, “Insomnia”

These are a.m. times I really don’t like to see–even if they do have interesting blurs and squiggles as I peer at them through bleary eyes…;)

Chantal Holst - I can relate and yes, the clock looks like that when I can’t sleep! Very nice interpretation

Project 52 Week 13 “Playing with Light”

Now, to a photographer, “Playing with light” could simply be interpreted as, “Take a Picture”, since the word photography literally means, “painting with light”. SO technically, every time a photographer happily goes out to make an image they are ‘playing with light’.:)

However, my interpretation of this week’s theme was to incorporate a lighted object of some kind into an image. I thought of flashlights, LED lights, Christmas tree lights, candles…..but finally went under the house and brought up our set of Bocce balls that have little lights in them. Then I sat in my bathroom with the colorfully lit balls on a black blanket, turned the light off, set the camera on ISO 100, a 4 second exposure at F16, and took about a hundred shots of them at various angles, moving the camera and/or zooming in and out at the same time…until I finally found one I liked…:)

Project 52 Week 12 “Planes, Trains and Automobiles”

Definitely was NOT looking forward to this theme–ew…I much prefer shooting–well, pretty stuff!:)

Anyway, I went out to one of our local airports to try to scout out a plane, but no luck, except for on a sign, which I grabbed a quick shot of. Next, I detoured down a few side roads to see if I had any better luck with finding Trains…*SCORE!*  (If I hadn’t found anything there I was just gonna raid my son’s matchbook car collection…;)

I’m posting two images this week. The first one was picked by three members of my family without knowing what anyone else picked, and the second one was my personal favorite, because, well, it’s “Pretty!!” Even train stuff can be pretty, right?

How ’bout an informal vote–which one do you like the best?

Next week’s Theme is, “Playing with Light”–should be FUN! You should join me!!!:)
