It finally paid off. All those weeks of patiently waiting, and the day is finally here….THE FIRST EGG!!!! There was no mistaking the excited pounding of her heels as she raced into the house to inform me of the joyous news!! So, here in all it’s glory…THE EGG…..:o)

I received a phone call from the post office at 6:30 in the morning notifying me that I had a cheeping package that could be picked up as soon as possible…when we arrived at the post office, the people we saw had mildly amused…
Here is a slideshow of images from the next chapter in the chicken story–finishing the coop. We were then able to use the shipping container to make a very adequate brooder for the babies to stay in temporarily until they no longer need a heat lamp. I LOVE multi-use items! Next on the agenda is to build a run outside the coop…
